Travel: Out and About in San Francisco

Greetings to all from San Francisco!  Shelter in Place” is still our daily routine.  Our weather has improved with sunny clear skies and warmer temps in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.

We have been slowly increasing our walks “within mandated guidelines.”  (rubber gloves, face masks and 6 feet distance from others!) Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park, Crissy Field in the Presidio and today Marina Green are among our favorites.

J&J

Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks:

Tulip gardens just yards from the beach.

One of two original windmills in Golden Gate Park.

San Francisco’s Ocean Beach is miles long.

Pair of geese on siesta at Stow lake.

Overlook where the Bay meets the open sea.

Who’s that masked man?

A unique peek at the Golden Gate Bridge towers.

Egrets chilling.

One Swan a swimming!

A beautiful day for a walk around the Palace of Fine Arts.

A bright sunny morning at Chrissy Field.

Munching!

Imagine keeping track of 14 goslings!!

  1. I have to admit that I was not wearing a mask when I enjoyed these wonderful San Francisco photos. Almost as good as being there.

  2. Great pictures. You are doing much the same as we are here – enjoying our local parks, appreciating nature and keeping our distance.

  3. If you two are alone, why must you wear a mask and gloves?? Sunday I was walking in a nature preserve near my home and I had a scarf around my neck, which I quickly raised to cover my nose and mouth each time I passed people on the path. I am very careful, but I don’t see the logic of wearing the mask if no one is around. As I discovered, all the nice places are heavily trafficked, so I have resorted to Plan B: hilly, on a road, but no people and only two or three cars in a two hour span.

Your photos, as usual, are lovely. They are so special, in fact, I must ask if they are enhanced!

  4. Fabulous photos! Enjoy your walks in the sunshine. We’re getting a blast of Arctic air up here in the Great White North–minus 1 tonight and minus 3 tomorrow night with a possibility of a dusting of snow! Argh!!!!!! Enough! Take care my friends!
